Kelly Wearstler - An Inspiration

I have always admired Kelly Wearstler's designs, and much of my inspiration comes from her creations.

For those of you unfamiliar with Kelly Wearstler, she is an award-winning eclectic designer with a bold and bright color palette. Her over-the-top Hollywood glamour designs are fun and spunky. She utilizes unique sculptures and art pieces in much of her work.
Wearstler began her design career by redesigning the interiors of her husband’s boutique hotels. She came from an artist background as her mother was a decorator and antiques dealer and her father was an engineer. She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.
Some of her work includes the Viceroy in Santa Monica, Palm Springs and Miami, Tides Miami Beach and the Bergdorf Goodman Restaurant in NYC.

She has written books, created a fabric line for Schumacher and judged a season of Bravo’s “Top Designer.” I am in LOVE with her line of home accessories for Bergdorf Goodman. Some objects include books made of white marble and thousand-dollar golden eggs.
