Remember 9/11

Today marks the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. We shall never forget. We shall keep this day. We shall keep the events and tears in our minds, our memory and our hearts, and take them with us as we carry on. Remember 9/11! SeekingDecor's heart goes out to those effected by the tragic events. You are in our thoughts forever.

Christian Siriano's Spring/Summer 2012 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Christian Siriano rocked the runway yesterday, Saturday, September 10, with his fierce and flawless Spring/Summer 2012 Ready-To-Wear Collection. I was lucky enough to have been in the audience! The show reflected T-shirts belted into lean skirts and palazzo pants. Siriano used acid hues of rich yellows, coral and chartreuse.

I went backstage and met Christian. He is just as fierce and fabulous as he is on television - love, love, love him and love, love, love his Spring/Summer 2012 collection!

Sirano's inspiration this season was the film Summertime starring Katharine Hepburn. Hepburn traveled to Venice and wore effortless and chic coral wrap-dresses. Siriano wanted his girl to be "fresh and effortless" like her character. The sea and sea creatures also inspired his Spring/Summer 2012 collection; this was reflected in his use of chiffon ruffles mimicking barnacles and unique textures. I loved his ostrich-feathered numbers and of course his tulle and organza pieces. I love Christian Siriano! Color, color, color for Spring!

Missoni for Target Early Pop-Up Store

I have anticipated this moment for quite some time --- Missoni for Target! I can image the collection will sell out within hours of the launch. From luggage to housewares, apparel to even a fabulous Missoni bicycle, the collection is glamorous and fun. This is Target's biggest collaboration yet.

The launch is not scheduled to hit stores until September 13, but Target is giving the chance to shop the collection via their pop-up store tomorrow, Thursday, September 8 at Fashion's Night Out!

I passed the Bryant Park pop-up store last weekend while they were setting up. The exterior of the building is covered in Missoni signature chevrons. You can't miss it! Well, I guess moving to NYC has its benefits -- first dibs on Missoni for Target items.

The first 20 people to spend more than $100 will get to take photos with Margherita and Angela Missoni. The event starts at 6 p.m., but I can imagine the line will be blocks long by 4 p.m.

Here is a sneak peak at the 400-piece Missoni for Target collection.
