Holiday Home Decorating Trends 2010

Just like in fashion, every holiday season the colors and patterns change for decorating the home. Talented interior designer Alex Zuniga of Alex Z Interiors performed a holiday decoration demonstration in front of Saks Fifth Avenue at the Dadeland Mall on Thursday. Zuniga presented in front of approximately 200 people, discussing the latest trends in Christmas tree and holiday home decorating.

Zuniga brings innovative designs to Miami with his modern, clean designs. He has much experience designing for high-end residential clients in New York, and he is currently a student and mentor at Miami International University of Art and Design, helping fine arts students with design rendering and perspectives.

Zuniga said the colors for this holiday season resonate from fashion and are vibrant and full of life. This year, jewel-toned colors such as purple, gold, copper, chartreuse and pale pink are what is hot. Bling and animal skin options create great effects!
