Typically, I am not a fan of hair hide rugs; however, today I discovered Saddleman's of Santa Fe, and there selection of metallic rugs are unique and funky. Right now, cow and calf hide rugs are all the rage in the design world. Saddleman's of Santa Fe offers specialty colored cowhides that are tanned in Brazil and made from soft leather and short, skinny hairs. What I love most about hair hide rugs is that no two are alike. Unique variations in each hide give it an authentic look.

Brocade Home Fall Collection -- Foil Wallpaper
Wallpaper, wallpaper, on the wall. Who's the fairest of them all?
Brocade Home released its Fall collection, and its foil wallpapers are shiny, metallic and totally awesome. The wallcoverings almost resemble mirrors! I am dying to cover one wall in my bedroom with one of these reflecting designs. The geometric patterns are bold and great for an accent wall.
Great color choices for the season -- butternut squash and champagne!

Naturally
I have seen chairs made entirely of moss; however, none were done effortlessly and with true elegance. Designer Emilio Robba, known as the "Sculptor of Flowers," has created a beautiful chair made of moss and flowers. His inspiration for the chair was the orchid; his focus includes balance, proportion and movement.

Madeline Weinrib Ikat Pillows - Look For Less
Madeline Weinrib's textile designs are phenomenal. I love her rich ikat-patterned throw pillows. Her fabrics are quite expensive, so I found two great sources that have the same look for less: Fabricadabra and Sheherazade!

Diane Von Furstenberg for Claridge's Hotel in London
The queen of print has done it again! Diane Von Furstenberg completed her first interior design project outside of her own stores, Claridge's hotel in London. Instead of dressing the body in her iconic printed wrap dresses, she has used silk safari-inspired rugs and color-rich patterned fabrics to upholster sofas, chairs and pillows.
What would you expect? The prints are wild and wonderful.
Each room retains elements of the original architectural features of the London landmark, but Furstenberg adding a modern, edgy flair. “I don’t want the hotel to change, I just want it to be more of a fantasy.”

Totally My Type
What is your type? Arial, Times New Roman or perhaps you prefer Comic Sans? They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in urban, chic interiors, words are on a thousand walls. Wall art with inspirational phrases and quotes is an increasingly popular trend. People are replacing their traditional photographs and paintings for wall decor filled with typography. Totally my type!
