French American Wallpaper FAcade 2010

French American was created in 2009 by American interior designer Patrick Ediger and French graphic designer Romain Bouticourt. The company manufactures gorgeous wallpaper, fabrics and accessories.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is soon approaching (October). SUITE New York has created one-of-a-kind cushions for Hans Wegner's legendary 1949 Wishbone chair. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The chairs will be auctioned off on October 7 at Barney's New York.

Designers Celerie Kemble, Kit Kemp, Amy Lau, Alexa Hampton, Bunny Willaims, Kelly Wearstler and more have donated custom designed cushions.

Today, I wanted to learn about new, modern lighting sources, so I researched intricate lighting manufacturers; I discovered French Designer Philippe Boulet's luminous furniture. With LEDs inside the seats, backs and arms of the furniture, the pieces illuminate and jazz up any room. What an edgy touch!

Highway Furniture

Segis says Highway. I say Roller-coaster.

Bartoli Design for Segis created its Highway Collection with loop de loops and ribbons of seating. The seats are constructed of steel, fire-retardant polyurethane foam and polyester.

The vibrant solid colors and repetition in shape make it an interesting piece. I can see the furniture pieces in a pediatrician's waiting room, lobby of a big modern space or a children's museum. Children can play under the loops...it is a furniture design gone jungle gym!
