Wall Street's Gordon Gekko: Bachelor Pad In The Sky

I am most excited about Interior Designer Richard Hallberg's recent project at The Setai on 36th and Fifth Avenue, NYC. Bizzi & Partners, developers of the new hotel, hosted this years Design Visions: Cinema Style. Designers chose their favorite New York movie and designed an extravagant apartment with a movie star as their imaged client.

Hallberg designed the penthouse apartment for Verdana, imagining the space was for Wall Street's Gordon Gekko after he was released from prison. Hallberg said he "selected furnishings that represented the 'best of the best' mixing 18th century furniture with contemporary pieces, modern art and Roman antiquities to produce a result that is timeless."

The penthouse pad sure looks like it is fit for the infamous bachelor. I love the play on black and white with punchy colors to add a dramatic effect.
