Blue is the least gender specific color, so it appeals to both females and males. The blue and white combination allows for introduction to any other color in a design scheme. I paired some of my favorite blue and white fabrics, trimmings and tabletop accessories. Something blue!

Something Blue
Blue and white is a part of my world. Carolyne Roehm's book Passion for Blue and White gives tons of blue and white inspiration. In her book she says, "Nature's quintessential blue and white never ceases to amaze me. The look of pristine snow against deep blue Aspen skies; spires of blue and white delphininum in a garden; Connecticut's spring mornings where the apple blossoms and nodding heads of white narcissus are in contrast to soft blue skies and vibrant green grass-these and many more images found in nature have informed my work for the last thirty-five years."

Lerival Modular Office System
Attention anyone who works in a tiny, uncomfortable cubicle all day! Lerival has created a modular office system that is flexible and fun.
When I was first introduced to the product, I thought, "This cannot be real. A lego-like desk for working? How awesome!"
The idea was to transcend the familiar office configuration by redefining space. The modular system is made from powder-coated aluminum sheets bent at one end to fasten together as three units.
The standard module is 25 inches square; the mini is half of that. A corner unit is also available. Standard colors are teal units with coral shelving. Who says work can't be fun?

Chic Home Library
I cannot live without books! This winter I will be hibernating with a cup of coffee and a good book.
Custom designed libraries create an intellectual center for your home. Done right, they can make a space special, interesting and magical.
Here are some fabulous home libraries:
(I love how Designer Markham Roberts hung a huge Julia Condon mandala painting on the bookcase. It gives the room a funky and contemporary feel)
(Designer Todd Klein used high-gloss brown walls to play up the grid pattern of the bookshelves)
(I love this dine-in library! The ebonized wood and sterling bookshelf is stunning)
(The traditional bookcase becomes unique and interesting as the books are hid beneath the angular architecture of the space)
(This one is my favorite! The floor-to-ceiling bookcase was built by designer David Kaihoi and painted in high-gloss black. The room feels glamorous and grandiose - my style)
